We've survived our first foray onto the Continent!

Paris was amazing. We had sunshine and blue skies the whole weekend, a sunset bateau mouche down the Seine and a three-course dinner in the Latin Quarter.

We failed in our attempts to get to bed early the night before (we had to be up at 4 to get to the airport around 5 for a 6.45 flight) and it almost ruined the entire weekend. Having missed the 4.40 bus (I wonder why...), we didn't end up arriving at Heathrow until 6, and after 10 minutes (literally) running around trying to find the terminal, we managed to check-in at 6.10 - five minutes before the desk closed. First time I've ever had to run for a flight... But we made it. We also had trouble finding a place to have a drink on Saturday night... one bar near Notre Dame was selling pints for €10. We left... Spent half an hour wandering around the latin quarter - the student area apparently - trying to find a bar, but there wasn't a drop to be found.

But they were the only issues and all in all a good weekend. Special thanks go out to Jimmy D for getting me commission free euros and the camp flight attendant on BMI who got me a second sandwich - without your help this trip would not have been nearly as enjoyable...

Go Saints

Hey,

Thought I'd write to you in stream of consciousness style cause it's cool sorta like Saint-Germain which I think is correct but I haven't been there but it's meant to be trendy well the Saint-Germain jazz cds I have sound cool so you make the connection but what I'm asking you really is did you go to Saint-Germain that is when you were in Paris anyway it's good to hear and also see from your 'photo albums' I guess I put that in quotation marks because they're not really albums but then what are they if they're not maybe a 'digital' or an 'e' should be stuck in that name that you and Hana are having a good time and still have money stashed away to spend on such trips without resorting to pawning the camera just yet unless those pictures are taken from Hana's camera which I hear from her is good but I don't think so because the only time a person is in shot is Hana which is sorta wierd but I guess you don't really need to be in the photos because the evidence you were there is you actually taking the photo but I digress in telling you about my exciting news of our family coming into possession of a huge mofo of a tv and I wrote 'hugo mofo' first I don't know why but I corrected it because hugo is not a mofo but only when he misses open dunks so I will tell him that when we go to his and Darz's housewarming on Friday when I wear the new jeans that I bought because my other ones now have a big hole in the knee which keeps getting bigger when I wash them which isn't that often but often enough which leads me to the idea that I might make a 'digital e photo album' of all these exciting things so you can picture them because we all know people living in England have no imagination which is why the Germans almost did them in but it's all true.

Tommy here.

Good to see some more photos up, even if they look like more Windows backgrounds. I swear you could get a job in that industry. Wouldn't mind seeing you guys take a few photos of each other so we can moniter your respective weight loss/gain while overseas. Has Hana lost weight? She's looking slim in the one picture you put up that has her in it.

Oh, and I meant you should take strictly clothed, non-sexual photos of each other.

I should point out that Hana took the role of photographer for the majority of the time in Paris, and accordingly, we have plenty of happy snaps involving one or both of us. I would also like to point out that in almost all of them one or both of us look awful. There was one in particular out the front of Versaille where it was so bright that I put on this squinty, pained face that literally made me look retarded - tongue half out, eyebrows raised.

Busted... We actually didn't go to Paris, we just pretended by putting up professional tourism photos. In fact, I couldn't find a very good one of the Eiffel Tower so I just constructed one out of paper clips and took the photo really close-up for the perspective...

But seriously, I was going to put some up last night, but ran into some issues with the licensing of Hana's image. Cut a long story short, her agent called my agent and threatened Court action if we put up any pictures. Negotiations are under way, but it doesn't look promising...

In the meantime, I might treat you to the photo of me looking like a retard at Versaille. Just have to wait till I get back to the computer tonight...
